Bab El-Fetouh (Gate of conquests) and Bab El-Nasr (Gate of Victory) are among the few left from tens of gates used to stretch around the old Fatimid Cairo almost a century years after it was built.

The gates were among plans to fortify the city and carried out by Badr El-Gamali in 1087.
