The mosque belongs to a Fatimid vizierWhat does it mean? who lived near the end of the Fatimid era in 1160. It was severely harmed in a 14th century earthquake in which it lost its minaretWhat does it mean?.

The mosque was restored and added by the Mamluks to stand firm following the earthquake aftermath.

The place is currently in restoration and not admissible to visitors.
