The Sun temples The Sun temples


The sun temples of AbuWhat does it mean? Ghurab are the earlier to be associated with the worship of sun-god Re. These include a temple built by Userkaf but in a bad condition. Another one is that of Niuserre which is in a better state.

The temples are about one kilometer (0.6 miles) to the north of Abu Sir. You can approach them walking or by camel or horse ride.
