Early Dynastic Tombs Early Dynastic Tombs
Photo by Raymon Kondos © 2009 Your Egypt

To the extreme north of tombs of 6th dynasty nobles (Mereruka, Kagemni and Ankhmahor) lie a number of early dynastic tombs that belong to earlier kings. Generally they are in ruins because of their primitive building technique that exposed them to the denudation of age.

Little remains can be seen but these were very significant to archeologists in their studying for ancient Egypt.
