Suez is the southern gateway to the Suez Canal. The city was
almost ruined by Arab-Israeli wars and nowadays you can still
see traces of the devastation.
Though being in a very good position, unfortunately the city
offers little to tourists. Suez is also an important city to
the Egyptian pilgrims who embark ship to Saudi lands from its
port.
