Fatimid Cemetery Fatimid Cemetery

South of Aswan's public garden is the Fatimid cemetery. It is located over a small hill and has a number of domed and vaulted square buildings that date back to the 10th century AD.

The tombs probably housed the bodies of local governors at that time, though it's difficult to distinguish them nowadays.
