Bani Suef is 130 south of Cairo
and located on the Nile valley like all other Upper Egypt's
main cities.
There is nothing particularly interesting in Bani Suef but a
small museum that exhibits collection of Pharaonic,
Greco-Roman,
Coptic
and Islamic
artifacts.
Bani Suef is most famous for its cotton-spinning industry which
has a long history there.
It is also a very important agricultural
governorate, and is famous also for processing of sugar canes
and the sugar industry. |
