The Valley of the Queens is about 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) southwest
to the Valley of Kings. Most of the tombs date back to the 19th
and 20th dynasties. The tombs also include those of the royals
who died young.
Of about 80 tombs in the valley few are in a well-preserved
