The tomb of Queen Nefertari was opened to public recently in
1995 after its restoration ended. Nefertari was a wife to King
Ramesses II.
The first thing that comes through the entrance is the antechamber
decorated with excerpts from the Book of the Dead.
The ceiling here has an astronomical paintings. To the right
is a side chamber. The walls portray Nefertari as she presents
offerings to the deities.
A staircase from the antechamber
leads down to the vast burial chamber which is flanked by four
heavily decorated pillars.
This chamber has 3 smaller chambers linked to it.
