many foreigners. It's a city that never sleeps, and this is one of

ways. There are cinemas with recent Egyptian and American movies.

There are also daily shows at the Opera House. The latter was built
by a Japanese aid and it hosts international performers from time
to time. If you went to Egypt in October month, perhaps you can see
Opera Aida live on a stage near the pyramids of Giza.

One of the most remarkable features of Egypt is cafés. They
are the Egyptians' method of entertaining themselves featuring oriental
glamorous scenes of men sitting, chitchatting and smoking water pipes.
Egyptians usually play chess, domino and backgammon on cafés,
called Ahwa in Arabic.
Other Western-style entertaining include nightclubs (discos), that
are usually attached to hotels, and amusement parks such as (Dream
Park, Sindbad, Giro Land, Magic Land
etc). |
